The Witches Altar:
Foundations of Building Altars & Tending to Sacred Space

I love working with altars.  The act of building them is so meditative. They are remarkably healing in helping to clarify your intentions and charge the objects you’ve selected to represent those intentions. The altar is alive and serves as an ally in your spiritual work.  On the witches wheel, the altar is a tool of the element of Earth; empowering the resources of your magic and assisting you to embody those sacred qualities of witch.  The element of Earth assists us in acting as resource to our relationships with life, it also aids our receptivity to the resources offered thru our relationships with life.  Relationship is an altar, it’s resource gifts us the necessary means to make good magic of our life for the time that we are here.

​In this Workshop we will:
  • Discuss the many and varied types of altars
  • Explore the components of a Working Altar
  • Learn techniques of building and tending to your altars
  • Build a community altar together
  • Discus the Witches Altar as it relates to the Wheel of the Year

 Please Bring:
  • An image of or an object representing Ancestor
  • A crystal and a candle to charge
  • A journal and pen
  • A beautiful cloth to bless as your altar cloth
  • Anything else that you would like to build an altar with
