Hi witches, this month’s SMARTY PANTS will focus on the art & ethics of dream magic & interpretation! As we in the northern hemisphere prepare for our descent through the long nights of winter the long arms of night extend their embrace deep within the subconscious of the world; the perfect time to hone our dream magic skills!
Beginning with the December Full Moon, we are also launching a new Patreon offering; our FULL MOON DREAM MAGIC GROUP. We felt a SMARTY PANTS focusing on dream interpretation would be appropriate this month as well! Borrowing from the Dream Group write up:
“Dreams are a response to our subconscious processing the memories, emotions, & experiences of our waking life; contributing to emotional memory consolidation. For witches, animist & metaphysically oriented folks, dreams can also offer spiritual insights regarding our life path & experiences. When we share in the witnessing of dreams, we tend to a kind of collective emotional memory consolidation; while also scrolling through the psychic feed of collective. By regularly tending our dreams & dreaming rituals through shared witness, it’s possible to strengthen our skills, boundaries, language & communication around our psychic nature and spiritual world.”
In this workshop we will discuss:
✨ Boundaries & considerations for sharing witness around personal dreams
✨ Foundations of establishing & tending a dream magic practice
✨ Tips for inducing & remembering dreams, discerning which dreams are significant
✨ Common dream symbols & their potential meanings including:
- animals
- body parts
- modes of travel
- locations
- elements of nature
- the passage of time
✨ Basic methods of dream interpretation
Class Etiquette:
✨ We will not interpret or comment on the dreams of others without consent
✨ We will respect boundaries of others prior to dream discussion and interpretation
✨ We won’t share the dreams of others outside of class
✨ We will only present our own personal dreams for interpretation
✨ Our dreams are our own, we will not project their significance onto others
✨ If someone chooses to take meaning from another’s dream, that is their choice
✨ Further discussion about dreams after class is up to those who consent to do so
